Reserving a Date

A $500.00, non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date this will go toward the total bill. 


A 50% deposit, of estimated total bill, is due 1 (one)-month prior to your event and final payment is due at the end of your event unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment may be made in the form of cash or check. 

Menu Selection

CHEFS menus are just a starting point, they may be used as they are, or customized to meet your needs and budget. Menus must be finalized at least 2 (two)-weeks prior to your event. It is recommended that you finalize your menu as soon as possible. Once the menu is finalized we will need a signed and dated copy sent to us. 


The guarantee is the number of people that we will prepare food for. We need the final "guaranteed" number of guests no less than 1 (one)-week before your event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number unless there are more guests than that number. 


5.3% Virginia sales tax and 4% Rockbridge County meals tax (9.3% total) will be added to all menu prices. 

Staffing and Service

Staffing and service fee depends on a number of factors including but not limited to: the style of event, the number of guests, location, depth and breadth of food service and bar service, etc. An estimate can be given when event specifications are known. I do release servers and bartenders as soon as possible saving the client when possible without compromising service. My staff is punctual, professional and very courteous. Many have been with CHEFS since our beginning in 2005. 

Leftover Food

Insurance and health department regulations prohibit us from allowing guests to take leftover food and/or beverages. 


CHEFS is more than happy to arrange rentals when necessary. This is done at no additional cost to you. It is one less thing for you to worry about and it enables us to make sure that all the items are accounted for. If you decide to coordinate the rentals on your own, it is understood that any shortages, overstocks or errors are the responsibility of the client. 


CHEFS will do a tasting if requested. There is a per person charge for this service and is based on items selected (est-$20 per person). We will prepare as many of your selections as possible. Please limit the tasting to 6 (six) persons. 

Food Allergies

Please advise CHEFS in advance of any food allergies you or your guests may have.
