Reserving a Date: Please be sure to book your event as soon as possible to secure the date of your event. For special event weekends, weddings and graduations, a $500 deposit is required to secure the date. This will be applied toward the final invoice total. Along with your initial deposit, send a signed and dated copy of the policy page.

Deposit: A 50% deposit, based on estimated number of guests and final total of food menu, is due 1 (one)-month prior to your event.

Contract: After the final proposal for the event menu has been approved, we will send you a copy to be signed and returned as well. The proposal is to insure that you and we are in agreement as to what is expected.

Final Payment: Final payment is due at the end of your event unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment may be made in the form of cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.

Guarantee: The guarantee is the number of people that we will prepare food for. We need the final "guaranteed" number of guests no later than 1 (one)-week before your event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number unless there are more guests than that number.

Menu Selection: Menus must be finalized at least 1 (one)-week prior to your event. We recommend finalizing your menu as soon as possible.

Taxes and Gratuity: 5% Virginia sales tax and 4% Rockbridge County meals tax (9% total) will be added to all menu prices. There will also be a service charge added to your total bill.

Leftover Food: lnsurance and health department regulations prohibit us from allowing guests to take leftover food and/or beverages.

Rentals: We are more than happy to arrange all rentals when necessary with one of the local companies. It is one less thing for you to worry about and it enables us to make sure that all the items are accounted for. We do this for a nominal fee. If you decide to coordinate the rentals on your own, it is understood that any shortages, overstocks or errors are the responsibilty of the client.

Tastings: We will do a tasting if requested. There is a per person charge for this service that is based on the items selected. If you decide to hire CHEFS for your event, the amount paid will be applied to your final bill. If you have already secured CHEFS with the initial $500.00 non-refundable security deposit, there will be no charge for the tasting. We will prepare as many of your selections as possible. Please limit the tasting to four (4) guests.

Food Allergies: Please advise CHEFS in advance of any food allergies your guests or you may have.
