Reserving a Date: Please be sure to book your event as soon as possible to secure the date of your event. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. This will be applied toward the final invoice total. Along with your initial deposit, send a signed and dated copy of the policy page.
Deposit: A 50% deposit, based on estimated total bill is due 1 (one)-month prior to your event.
Final Payment: Final payment is due at the end of your event unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment may be made in the form of cash or check.
Menu Selection: Our menus are just a starting point, they may be used as they are, or customized to meet your needs. Menus must be finalized at least 2 (two)-weeks prior to your event. We recommend finalizing your menu as soon as possible. Once the menu is finalized we will need a signed and dated copy sent to us.
Guarantee: The guarantee is the number of people that we will prepare food for. We need the final "guaranteed" number of guests no later than 1 (one) week before your event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number unless there are more guests than that number.
Taxes and Gratuity: 5% Virginia sales tax and 4% Rockbridge County meals tax (9% total) will be added to all menu prices. There will also be an 18% service charge added to your total bill. This 18% covers all servers and attendants for up to 5 (five) hours, including set-up and break-down. After the first 5 (five) hours an additional labor fee of $10 per hour, per server will be added. Bartenders are charged separately.
Leftover Food: lnsurance and health department regulations prohibit us from allowing guests to take leftover food and/or beverages.
Rentals: We are more than happy to arrange all rentals when necessary with one of the local companies. It is one less thing for you to worry about and it enables us to make sure that all the items are accounted for. If you decide to coordinate the rentals on your own, it is understood that any shortages, overstocks or errors are the responsibilty of the client.
Tastings: We will do a tasting if requested. There is a per person charge for this service that is based on the items selected. If you decide to hire CHEFS for your event, the amount paid will be applied to your final bill. If you have already secured CHEFS with the initial $500 non-refundable security deposit, there will be no charge for the tasting. We will prepare as many of your selections as possible. Please limit the tasting to four (4) persons.
Food Allergies: Please advise CHEFS in advance of any food allergies your or your guests may have. |
